Licensed, local, priced in writing

Every job is done by a contractor licensed with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC). The license number is on your estimate.

Work in DC and Virginia goes to a contractor licensed in that jurisdiction. The license number is on your estimate.

Maryland law requires an MHIC license for home improvement work of any size, there is no dollar minimum, and the license carries a guaranty fund that protects the homeowner. Ask for the number before any contractor starts, ours included. It is printed on every estimate we send.

The rule with the section numbers is on the Maryland handyman license page, and the practical difference is on the handyman versus contractor page.

Who we are

Old Line Home Repair started in Clarksville, Maryland with one crew doing the between the trades work that nobody else wanted to drive out for. A door that will not latch. A hole in the hallway wall. A disposal that hums and quits. The jobs on the price list are the jobs we did for our own rental houses in Annapolis, Columbia, Frederick and DC before we opened the phone to the public.

How a job goes

You text a photo and the address. We write back with a price, usually the same day. If you want it done, we pick a day and the crew shows up with the materials. You pay when the work is done and you have looked at it. Card payments carry a 3 percent processing fee and are processed by Westbridge Home Inc., our billing company.

Where

Thirteen counties and the District, from Howard and Baltimore County to Fairfax and Loudoun. The full list is on the service area page. Call or text (240) 858-0149, 8 to 6, Monday through Saturday.
